About the design:
In Ancient Greece there were two rival city states, Athens and Sparta. While Athens were known for their philosophers and artists, Sparta was known for their formidable and fierce warriors. As children, Spartan boys would enter the 'Agoge' programme in which they would be rigorously trained and educated to be shaped into the perfect Spartan Warriors. Leonidas I, king of Sparta from 489-480BC (made famous by the film '300') was perhaps the best example of a Spartan Warrior and was famously quoted saying; 'No Retreat, No Surrender; That is Spartan Law'.
